Consider the main charitable purpose of your organization rather than trying to fit every listed area. The current form does not require selecting a program category or submitting a separate proposal for each area.

The categories are not an award schedule. Grants typically range from $500 to $100,000. Organizations anywhere in the United States may apply, and the current application deadline is December 25, 2026.

This area focuses on organizations that keep neighborhoods stable: food pantries, emergency assistance funds, and groups that step in when a community faces a sudden hardship.

This area focuses on organizations that invest in their own durability — training, systems, planning, and the unglamorous infrastructure that makes good work sustainable.

Funding is currently available for eligible nonprofit applications. These areas describe ACF's charitable focus; the type and amount of support are determined through application review.
