The Armoury Quadrangle Civic Association (AQCA) is a non-profit organization that was formed in 1995 by residents of downtown Springfield who wanted to have an organized voice in the city.
AQCA’s main goal is to preserve and improve the character of the Armoury Quadrangle/Metro Center neighborhood.
Residents and businesses are asked to support our activities through donations of any amount. AQCA also receives funding from the City of Springfield Office of Housing each year. This is federal grant money (through the Community Development Block Grants program) to help AQCA meet its goals and objectives.
A monthly meeting—which is open to all—is generally held the third Thursday of every month (except June and July) at 7:00 PM in different locations within the Armoury Quadrangle community. Please check the website for details on upcoming locations.
Please contact us either by phone, (413) 747-1830, or email, email@example.com.
Meetings often feature a guest speaker who shares information of interest to downtown residents.
There are no paid staffers at AQCA. All work is done by volunteer members who want to work together for the benefit of our neighborhood.
There are several standing and ad-hoc committees that work on event planning, publications, community improvements, membership, and more.
Please consider attending an upcoming AQCA meeting to meet your downtown neighbors and learn how to get involved.
We hope to see you soon!
