Connecting purpose to preparation

When considering charitable support, describe the community need, the people served, and how resources would help your organization carry out its mission. These are useful planning questions, not additional fields or attachments required by the current ACF form.

The present application collects organization identity, representative information, and supporting documents. If further program details are needed during review, provide them through instructions confirmed directly by ACF.

Vision

A future in which nonprofit organizations have greater opportunities to secure resources, deliver meaningful services, and contribute to resilient communities.

03

What the mission means in practice

  • Funding that reaches organizations serving real community needs
  • Application processes that small organizations can actually complete
  • Decisions made against published criteria, not personal connections
  • Reporting requirements proportionate to the size of the grant
04

Core values

  • Integrity
  • Accountability
  • Transparency
  • Compassion
  • Collaboration
  • Responsible stewardship
  • Fairness
  • Sustainable community impact

These values have been approved by ACF's leadership.

How we hold ourselves to it

A mission statement only matters if it can be checked against behavior. ACF’s grantmaking, conflict-of-interest, and records pages describe approved standards; confirmed operational details and approved policy changes should be distinguished from aspirations.
